Terms & conditions
Last updated: March 27, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to https://comicbuild.online and any training products or services offered by ComicBuild("ComicBuild," "we," "us"). By browsing our site, creating an account, or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
1. Eligibility
Our services are intended for adults who can form a binding contract. By enrolling, you represent that you meet the minimum age in your jurisdiction (typically 18+) or have proper consent. Corporate buyers must be authorized to commit their organization.
2. Service description
ComicBuild provides educational content about comic writing, storytelling, visual planning, and publishing fundamentals. We may update curricula, instructors, schedules, or technology platforms to maintain quality. Reasonable changes that do not materially reduce the overall value of a purchased program will not constitute breach, provided we notify you when changes affect timing or access you relied on at checkout.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify help@comicbuild.online promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts involved in fraud, harassment, or terms violations.
4. Orders, pricing, and taxes
Prices are quoted in the currency shown at checkout unless we agree otherwise in writing for enterprise invoices. You authorize us and our payment processors to charge the stated amount. Taxes, duties, or withholding may apply based on your location; you are responsible for such amounts where required. Typographical errors in listed pricing may be corrected before acceptance of your order.
5. Access and acceptable use
When using ComicBuild materials you agree not to:
- copy, scrape, or redistribute course videos or downloads outside permitted uses;
- share your login or circumvent technical access controls;
- harass instructors, staff, or other students;
- upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content; or
- attempt to probe or disrupt our systems.
Individual licenses are for your personal or internal team use as stated on your order. Public performance, resale, or classroom redistribution requires written permission.
6. Intellectual property
ComicBuild owns its curriculum, trademarks, and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access purchased materials during your active enrollment period unless a different duration is expressly stated.
You retain ownership of original creative work you produce. By submitting assignments for feedback, you grant ComicBuild and instructors a limited license to view, comment on, and use excerpts internally for teaching purposes. We will not publish your private drafts publicly without separate written consent.
7. Third party tools
We may recommend optional software or publisher platforms. Those tools are governed by their own terms. ComicBuild is not responsible for outages, fee changes, or policy decisions made by third parties.
8. Disclaimers
Our courses provide education—not legal, financial, tax, or talent representation advice. Consult qualified professionals for contracts, immigration, or investment decisions. Publishing and sales results vary widely. We do not guarantee publication, audience size, awards, licensing deals, or revenue.
Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose where allowable.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ComicBuild and its instructors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of our services. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to a specific enrollment is limited to the amount you paid for that enrollment in the twelve months before the claim, except where law prohibits such limitations (for example, in cases of intentional misconduct or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable).
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless ComicBuild from claims arising out of your misuse of the services, your submissions that infringe third party rights, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or non payment. You may stop using the services at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity) will survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country provide otherwise. Courts located in Tokyo, Japan, will have exclusive jurisdiction for business customers. Consumers may have additional rights to bring claims in their home jurisdiction where local law requires.
Our business address: 1 Chome-9-2 Yotsuya, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0004, Japan. Support: help@comicbuild.online, +81 3-5369-6066.
13. Changes
We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and, when appropriate, notified by email to active students. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless law requires explicit consent.
